[ARCHIVED] Child Safety Classes

These classes are designed for children 14 and under who desire to learn 911 Education, how to avoid dangerous situations, what to do and how to act in dangerous and/or uncomfortable situations. Commonly referred to as a “Stranger Danger” Class; however more emphasis will be placed on “Dangerous Situations” children may get themselves into; even with a person they know and trust.

The first portion of class will teach basic 911 Education: when to call 911, how to call 911 and what to expect when calling 911. Role-playing during class will teach your children to better understand the 911 Emergency System.

The second portion of the class will teach your children to be aware of their surroundings, avoiding dangerous situations, what to do and how to react in dangerous and/or uncomfortable situations. And, where and who to go to for help when they need it.

The class will also focus on teaching parents and children “how to be a good witness” and what police need in order to assist in the investigation.

This is not a self-defense class and parents are required to stay the duration of the class.

For more information or to schedule a class for your organization, please contact Parker Police Officer Dawn Cashman at 303.805.6527 or dcashman@parkeronline.org.
