Joint Death Investigation

Parker Police Department Mobile Command Unit in a Neighborhood

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Parker Police Department are conducting a joint death investigation at two locations. The Douglas County Sheriff’s office responded to the 13000 Block of Ancestry Drive at 8:51 this morning on a medical call. Deputies discovered two deceased individuals. At approximately 10:15 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff's Office requested that the Parker Police Department conduct a welfare check at a home on Blackwolf Drive in Parker. Parker Officers noticed a gas leak when they arrived and evacuated homes in the area. South Metro Fire Rescue responded and assisted with the gas leak. Officers found a deceased adult when they entered the home.The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Parker Police Department believe these two incidents are related and there is no additional threat to the community. This is an active investigation, and we will share more information when it becomes available. The Douglas County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for official identification of the deceased parties, as well as the cause and manner of death.
