Suspects Arrested for Attempted First-Degree Murder

The Parker Police Department arrested James Gomez Deppermann (12/18/1992) and Aaron Joseph Stelly (09/05/2000) yesterday in connection with the shots fired incident near Nate Drive and Hollow Creek Lane.

Officers responded to the Stroh Ranch subdivision Tuesday morning, Sep. 12, when several residents reported hearing shots fired at 5:45 a.m. Using data from the Flock camera system, officers quickly identified the vehicle and two suspects. Detectives interviewed both suspects and witnesses and recommended the below charges to the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office for both suspects.

Attempted Murder in the First Degree- Extreme Indifference 18-3-102 (1)(d) F2

Criminal Attempt to Commit Class One Felony 18-2-101 (4) F2

Attempted First-Degree Assault- Extreme Indifference 18-3-202 (1)(c) F3

Conspiracy to Commit Class Three Felony 18-2-101 (4) F4

Tampering with Physical Evidence- Felony Crime 18-8-610 F6

Conspiracy to Commit Unspecified Felony 18-2-201 (5) F6

Possession of a Weapon While Under the Influence 18-12-106 (1)(d) M2


The following charge was also recommended for Deppermann.

Possess Weapon by Previous Offender 18-12-108 (1) F5


There were no reported injuries, although two residents said there was damage to their homes.

A charge is merely an accusation; a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
