Attempted First-Degree Murder Suspect Found Guilty

On May 22, 2018, a suspect fired multiple shots into a truck at the C-470 and Parker Road intersection, hitting the driver once before driving away. After an extensive investigation, Parker Police Detectives identified Abraham Paquet as the suspect and arrested him. This week, justice was served for the victim of the shooting.

Abraham Paquet was found guilty by a Douglas County jury on all five counts he was facing.

Attempted 1st-Degree Murder
1st-Degree Assault-Deadly Weapon
1st-Degree Assault-Extreme Indifference
Illegal Discharge of a Firearm 
Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender

Paquet's sentencing may be as early as March 29, with a maximum sentence of 72 years.
