[ARCHIVED] Parent-Teen Safe Driving Workshops

The Parker Police Department will be hosting ‘What do You Consider Lethal’ workshops throughout the year. All workshops are hosted at the Parker Police Department, 18600 Lincoln Meadows Pkwy., from 7 to 8 p.m. This parent-teen safe driving workshop is designed for drivers age 14 to 18 and their parent/guardian. The ultimate goal is to save lives by changing attitudes and behaviors that become lethal behind the wheel of a car. The course will focus on the dangers of reckless and distracted driving.

Reckless and distracted driving is the #1 killer of teens in America. This deadly epidemic claims the lives of 3,000 teens each year and seriously injures 30,000 more. This can be prevented with a combination of quality education, training and enforcement. These workshops will provide information about good decision making behind the wheel for drivers and passengers of all ages.

Classes are currently scheduled for Jan. 20, Feb. 3 and March 3. Please register at www.parkeronline.org/PoliceClasses.
