Child Safety

Child Safety Classes

Throughout the year, the Parker Police Department hosts free Child Safety classes for the general public.

These classes are designed for children 5 to 14 years old who desire to learn 9-1-1 education, how to avoid dangerous situations, and what to do and how to act in dangerous and/or uncomfortable situations. Commonly referred to as "Stranger Danger" Class; however more emphasis will be placed on "Dangerous Situations" children may get themselves into; even with a person they know and trust.

This is not a self-defense class and parents are required to stay the duration of the class.

Whether children walk, ride their bicycle or take the bus to school, it is extremely important that they take proper safety precautions.

Resources for Parents & Guardians

The Parker Police Department wants to assist parents and guardians in protecting their children. It is very important that children learn how to be safer and make smart decisions. Below are a variety of brochures, provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, to help you and your child learn about safety. For more information, please visit www.missingkids.com.

You can download resources from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on their website. They have publications on missing children, exploited children, and safety and prevention resources.
