Deputy Chief Tsurapas takes over as Interim Chief of Police

Deputy Chief Jim Tsurapas is the Interim Chief of Police for the Parker Police Department as of January 1, 2020. He began his career with the Parker Police Department in 1993 as a volunteer reserve officer and was hired on as a full-time officer in 1995. He has since promoted through the ranks as a Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and in 2016, he was named Deputy Chief.

Deputy Chief Tsurapas is incredibly proud of the Parker Police Department, our employees, and the tremendous support from the community. “I am very humbled by the opportunity to lead this organization and build on the values that have made us successful: community policing, transparency, and advancing technology to protect officers and the community.”
