The Parker Police Department is encouraging Parker residents to participate in this year’s National Night Out festivities by hosting neighborhood block parties on the evening of Tuesday, August 6th.
Last year Patrol Officers, K-9 Officers, Mounted Patrol, 9-1-1 dispatchers and Crime Scene and Evidence team members stopped at 14 different National Night Out and had a great time!
In 1984, the introduction of National Night Out, "America's Night Out Against Crime", began as an effort to:
Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts
Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back
National Night Out now involves more than 37.8 million people and 16,124 communities from all fifty states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.
Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.
If you would like us to attend your block party, please fill out the registration form.
Please complete your registration before July 26th so department members can be scheduled to attend your special celebration.
