With public and private investment on the rise in Downtown Parker, the Town identified the need in 2016 to plan to meet the future parking and mobility needs of everyone who enjoys our community’s vibrant urban core. A Downtown Parking Study was initiated in order to identify current and future parking and access needs in a way that prepares the community for future growth, while also balancing the desire to maintain Parker’s local, hometown feel.
Following the completion of the plan, the Parker Town Council indicated support for several near-term plan recommendations and directed staff to implement time-managed parking in certain areas of downtown Parker beginning May 8, 2017, as outlined below:
-Time-managed parking with two-hour limits on certain downtown streets including Mainstreet, Victorian Drive, Pikes Peak Drive and Pikes Peak Avenue
-Effective Hours: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Parker Police Department’s Neighborhood Services Division enforces parking restrictions in the downtown area. Violations of these restrictions can include warnings, both verbal and written, as well as citations.
